Why Indanthrene?
Indanthrene paints are a type of dyestuff which is important in cotton dyeing, especially for yarn dyed products, due to their high fabric fastnesses. They show high fastness to wet processing. Good wet fastnesses (4-5) demonstrate the formation of water-insoluble compounds. Light fastness is also generally good and ranges from (3-8). Indanthrene stains are not only resistant to light, acids and alkalis, but also resistant to strong oxidizing bleaches at the same time. Peroxide fastness is 4-5, mercerizing fastness is 3-5, hypochlorite fastness is 4-5 (2-3 in some).
